Farm fences
Kentucky board, split rail and farm fence for horse properties, pastures and larger lots across Warren, Butler and Montgomery counties.
Fencing open land is a different job from fencing a backyard. The runs are long, the ground rolls, and the fence has to hold up to animals, weather and frost heave while still looking straight from the road. Around Lebanon, Franklin and Springboro, farm fence often runs along a road or a neighbor's line, so it needs to look right as well as work. We install Kentucky board fence, the classic horse fence with horizontal boards on wooden posts. We also install split rail and other farm fence. Split rail can be paired with wire mesh on the inside when you need to keep dogs or smaller animals in. The owners are on every jobsite, and we don't use subcontractors. That matters on a long run, where post spacing and the line have to stay consistent from one end to the other. We'll walk the property with you and talk through layout, gates and slope. Then we'll put it all in a written estimate.

Common questions
What is a Kentucky board fence?
It's the board fence you see around horse farms in this part of the country, with horizontal boards fastened to wooden posts. It's sturdy, easy for horses to see, and suits a farm or a large residential lot. We've installed it for customers in Lebanon and around the area.
Can you add wire to a split rail fence for my dogs?
Yes. Wire mesh fastened to the inside of a split rail fence keeps dogs and small animals in while keeping the open rail look from outside. Shrubs or plantings along the line can make this trickier, so we'll look at that when we come out.
Do you work on hilly or uneven ground?
Yes. Plenty of land around here rolls, and we set the fence to follow the grade so the line stays clean from end to end. We'll go over how the fence will handle any slopes when we walk the property.
